Classification Of Alloy Cast Steel Rolls

Rolls are equipment used for metal rolling. Based on their application and material, they can be classified into the following types:

1. Hot Rolls: Suitable for hot rolling processes, generally made of alloy steel, possessing high thermal strength and wear resistance.

2. Cold Rolls: Primarily used for cold rolling processes, generally made of high-speed steel or tool steel, possessing high hardness and surface smoothness.

3. Coated Rolls: Surface treated with coatings such as chromium, titanium, or tungsten plating to increase wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

4. Roughing Rolls: Mainly used for the initial rolling of thick plates, usually made of cast iron or steel.

5. Finishing Rolls: Used for precision rolling of thin plates or strips, generally made of alloy steel or special steel.

6. Process Rolls: Used for rolling processes with special requirements, such as steel pipe rolls and roll grinding rolls.

7. Shaped rolls: Rolls with special shapes, such as patterned rolls and coated rolls, are used to customize rolled products with special shapes.
