Alloy Roll Introduction

Alloy rolls are key components widely used in metal rolling processes. Primarily made of nickel-based alloys, they possess excellent high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, and high strength.

They are the main working parts and tools on a rolling mill that induce continuous plastic deformation in metal. A roll mainly consists of three parts: the roll body, the roll neck, and the shaft end. The roll body is the middle section of the roll that actually participates in the rolling of the metal. It has a smooth cylindrical or grooved surface. The roll neck is mounted in a bearing and transmits the rolling force to the mill stand through the bearing housing and the pressing device. The drive end shaft end is connected to a gear housing via a connecting shaft, transmitting the torque of the motor to the roll. Rolls can be arranged in two-roll, three-roll, four-roll, or multi-roll configurations within the rolling mill stand.
